It is a bittersweet feeling that fills me as I prepare to leave home yet again. The ‘pretty’ which surrounds me this time of year is much more intense when I know I won’t be seeing it for some time. An early morning walk took me out to the barn to unload the last of the trailer of hay I loaded just two days before. My muscles were quick to remind me it is too soon, but I’ve run out of time. It is time to head to Africa. π

And once again, Mount Rainier is clearly visible as we fly into Seattle! I lived in Everett for six, long weeks, and I never once saw Rainier ππ. One of the reasons I moved to Montana.

And now…the plane that will take me to the Middle East. Qatar first, and then into Entebbe.

I was able to get some preliminary work done during the wait in SEATAC π

Soon I will settle in for the fifteen hour flight to Qatar. I am excited to serve in Uganda!
