Over 200 yesterday! A great day, but funny…Uganda is approaching their rainy season, and when it rains, it POURS!! Torrential. We try to keep all patients not being processed through in the outside, but when it rains…
😂😂😂😂! This presents challenges in and of itself in regard to noise level, heat, and chaos in not knowing who is waiting for what. But still, we press on. 206 we’re registered, and we were able to see 194. Many again had to be turned away, but we typically appease them with baggies of calcium carbonate and acetaminophen. The two biggest issues here are gastrointestinal issues and the related pain/discomfort, and hypertension. We have been seeing malaria, HIV, and one case of monkey pox. Oh, and two cases of TB. Definitely the most contagious of any of the previous deployments. I remember in one of my nursing classes we had to watch a documentary titled ‘Global RX’. If I learned one thing, if war that most bad diseases/viral infections come from Africa😬. Unless you’re a tick. Then it’s Montana😂😂😂!
The team is down for breakfast/devotions now, so I will sign off. Last day photos to come! Tomorrow💕.
