Sometimes when I blog about the exciting and unexpected, I forget to blog about the rest of the day! The castle tour portion of the group was just wonderful, and we ended the day at a lovely winery to sample a couple of the most popular Czech wines π.
After the unexpected church processional, we continued on through the castle campus, which is where pretty much everyone who served in the court of the monarchy resided. I think we all agreed it would be the best life in that century to be the wife of a merchant, unrelated to royalty at all, because someone was always trying to do you in and take over π±. Or, if you were a female, they’d be trying to marry you off to a foreign national as a political alliance! And then you’d go on to have 18 to 20 children, of which, Lord willing, at least one would’ve been male.ππππ±π± A hard life indeed, in spite of the lush opulence and perpetual attention of servants. Still, it all provided lovely fodder for an amazing day! And all was mesmerizing for the eyes.π€

And the street of the dwellings…

Rather simple, but very simple and short abodes to be sure!ππππ I thought I had taken more shots from a distance, but I think there were just so many people that would’ve been in it, I figured it would’ve ruined it somehow.
And the view from the winery π·

The one thing I miss while being with a group tour is having more time to blog. We’ll probably have an earlier night this evening, so I’ll try to post more from yesterday, and the journey from Prague to Vienna. π€
