I woke up last night with a zillion questions on my mind. Well, maybe not that many, but enough to last about an hour and a half.ππ I am still accustomed to Montana time, knowing I should be wide awake when it is one, two, and three in the morning here in Europe. So a little ‘wondering’ never hurts. But to make it easier on me, I googled the most relevant period to our century, and I took a screenshot.π€

Now this is especially perplexed me. As I was wandering about in ‘Lesser Prague’ (the other side of the river) yesterday, I came across what I thought was the Croatian flag, and a memorial plaque beneath with simple dates…

Prague was certainly not an independent country then. So why the memorial for a period of time when the nation was under occupation. Especially by Germany! It seems the Germans occupied almost every country in Europe during World War II.π±π± Which got me to wondering yet again, where did they find all the troops to send so many out to so many places?π±
I almost turned my light on at this point, because I wanted to to get some answers to my many questions. But I restrained myself, fortunately, and before long I returned back to sleep.π
But before, then, I got to wondering, if that indeed was the Czech flag…

… and from what I can tell in this photo, it was. Maybe you can do some homework on that and enlighten me, because I am still confused. In regard to those inscribed dates, 1938 to 1945, that would’ve been the period in which Germany was taking over all of Europe.π
Just had word Daniel was on the Blog just now, so I’m going to send this off to post because I have a feeling he will know the answer to the dates on the inscribed plaque with the flag.πππ€πHis finesse at remembering historical facts never ceases to amaze me!π±
