Hopefully Waiting

Making progress...just applied for Global Entry to make getting in and out of foreign countries a bit easier, and quicker hopefully.  I've never even had TSA precheck, so I have nothing to compare it to.  Getting through customs in Switzerland with Nettie (solo + 1😊) was surprisingly simple!  Nice man too!  I hear Rome can take forever, so I planned a good five hours before having to catch the special transit to Naples.  We'll see how the Global Entry works when in ROME! 😂  Assuming, that is, my approval arrives before I leave!  Again, assuming I GET approved...😟

                                 Practice Makes Better 😀

Wow...for someone who loves to write, I am a bit undone.  This is a practice post, as I am still learning how to set up and customize the blog site.  In the past, I'd have asked my more tech savvy friend to help me, but if I'm going to be 'Flying Solo', I need to start figuring out how to do some things for myself.  I chose an ocean theme, because I am most at peace near rolling waves.  I recently read a touching devotional about the grace of God, and how it can be likened to rolling, ocean swells.  Grace upon grace.  Before you stand up from the first wave, the second is crashing over you.  That has been so true for me.  A truly blessed life, and as I am nearly half-way through my 60th year, I hope to see and experience as much as I possibly can in the time I have left.  COVID squelched my travels for a time, so I turned to YouTube, and pseudo-traveled vicariously through the lens and creativity of a handful of inspirational vlogger's as far away as Russia, the UK, Poland, Ukraine, and Italy.  This May, as a celebratory gift for my twenty years of service at an amazing long term care facility in my home town, I will  journey on a group tour to Albania and Macedonia with one of my favorite and accomplished travel vlogging couples who have recently started Humankind Tours.  I look forward to sharing the journey with all who are like me, and enjoy sharing a journey, even though it may be from a distance.  Until later...

Glamping

Well, that’s what my roommate Laurie called it anyway. Beautiful tents set on a deck overlooking the Nile. We needed escorts to and from our...
