I arrived last night after a fairly easy travel day that extended well beyond 36 hours! My patient tuk-tuk driver, ‘Toy’, was waiting for me as I exited the airport. He brought me to my hometel, and the 25 minute ride from Phnom Penh International was just beautiful. Dark, but lively…people, market stands and tuk-Tulsa galore. I can see even this early on that the language barrier will be just that…a barrier. But what I lack in language, I will make up for in presence. I am going to love on these precious people of Cambodia! For the few phrases I did learn, I will have time to practice in the next couple of days before meeting up with the beautiful people in the northern provinces! Toy was helping me on our ride over πππππ Now…to figure out the shower!π. A couple of photos from the journey to Asia…
My first AIRBUS!ππππππ
Transit through Seoul…neatest airport ever!πππ
And ROBOTS! In the airportπππ. So cool!! Friendly too π
One last thing to add before I venture into the unknown… The coffee granules and powdered creamer taste especially lovely this morningππ.
