The Closet

I say that will all affection, because it truly was the perfect location for plus-one’s initial introduction to international travel. Just half a block from Kings Cross-St. Pancras station, we never had to venture far before or after our fun-filled days. But location comes with a price.πŸ˜‚ I’m not sure what the hotel was in its previous life, but perhaps a prison, judging by the cell size πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. My first comment to plus-one…’It will only get better from here!’

The room measured 10 X 12 feet roughly, and the bathroom door only had space to open partially…I’d guess 1.5 feet, as it was stopped short by the bed. We meandered cautiously around one another, but still, we were comfortable during our rest at night. The negative, aside from simple size, was the absence of air conditioning. We’d open the window when we’d settle in for the evening, but then passer-byes could see in. After a time, we really didn’t care. But keeping the windows open during the night was downright noisy. After all, we WERE half a block from a central London train station! All in all, I’d still choose that hotel again, as it made getting around so much easier and with much less stress! I meant to take photos of our ‘celltel’, but the moment we schlepped our luggage in, it looked messy. πŸ˜‚ Here is one unrelated but worthy of viewing. πŸ˜„

All things Harry Potter are HUGE here, most likely due to the success of the JK Rowling books, but it was a well written and entertaining series, so I enjoyed seeing it all. ☺️
