We’re scheduled for a Beaches of Normandy tour, which begins in October 9th. Our group will meet up at Charles de Gaulle International Airport in Paris. I thought it fitting that we start our tour in England, since England played such a prominent part in WWII. It is really astonishing to traverse the neighborhoods and wander through buildings that were here well before then, and left standing in the wake of that sad period in our shared history. There remains so much yet unseen, as we have not time enough, but the sense of camaraderie is evident here, and seeing the faces and names of some of the prominent WWII participants is heart warming, especially knowing how it all turned out in the end. Bless them for their confidence in what may have seemed insurmountable odds🥲.
