One last gondola ride up and then down again to watch the fading sun on the other side of the mountains. It’s just so beautiful here, but incredibly expensive. The people I’ve come across have been very friendly and kind, much like Montrose, so it’s been fun visiting with some of them. I met a young lady from Romania who has an engineering degree, but she left her country because the working wages were so low. Now she is working as a server in a very upscale restaurant because the US doesn’t recognize her degree. She said it was Romania‘s fault, rather than the United States. I was glad to hear that.
I also met a couple here to ski all the way from Alabama! I told them I was impressed they learned how to ski in Alabama.๐๐๐ That got a boisterous laugh out of the husband, but it might’ve had something to do with the toddy he was tippling๐.
One of my family member’s highly recommended Siam Thai Restaurant here in Telluride. I will go there for a nice dinner, and then back for a walk down Main Street. My hotel is right in the center of town, so pretty much everything is walking distance, no matter where you are. I sure appreciate that! And it’s nice to know Jax is safe and sound at Iron Will Resort. There’s a lot that goes into finding a place to potty him, walk him, and just keep him comfortable when he’s not allowed in restaurants or stores with me. I only hope he’s having as much fun as me!
