On a More Serious Note

Serious only in that the beauty of Europe is so incomprehensible! Three out of our group of 5 (six will arrive Wednesday) so far have not been to Europe before, and so the fascination is so exciting to see through the eyes of the first time beholders, and almost makes me feel like it is my first time as well. In reality, I’ve probably only spent a total of three days in Paris, and much of that was just seeing a few specific sites that I could get to via taxi, Uber, or bicycle tour guide. Thanks to Kelly’s competence with ‘the Metro’, we are able to travel a much more extensive area, at a much reduced rate! Last night her foot was acting up, and so she sent the four of us out on our own. Much like a good mother hen, she made sure that we knew where we were going, and how to get back home again. We did splendidly well, and all are getting along just swimmingly๐Ÿ’•. Love these ladies! ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†

This was the area of the Louvre, and Pont Neuf, near Notre Dame. We didn’t make it as far as Notre Dame, because after we sat and had a bite to eat, we were also exhausted. We just decided to head back to our neighborhood. This concentrated beauty in such a small area truly leaves us breathless, wanting to take countless pictures, but knowing it will never capture the true essence that is Paris. Still, I will do my best to share the beauty with you. ๐Ÿ’•
