A short metro ride took us to yet another beautiful neighborhood here in Paris I wish I could remember the French word for it, but my spelling would most likely be incorrect. Sacre Coeur sits high up on a hill, and we took a funicular to get up to it. A funicular much like the one in Zagreb, Croatia. While we’re didn’t go inside the church, we walked around and through the area. After a long stroll, we stopped at a quiet patisserie for a treat. A perfect pause!
The people of Paris have been patient and kind, and it is a jot to engage with those who have time. We visited ’Bonfinger’, an especially nice place the local people frequent. Our server was smiles and laughter, and made us feel quite welcome. We ordered a plate off escargot, and decided to each take a shell home, both to commemorate our trip, and our first snailππ. We figured our kind server assumed we just ate the shells along with the escargot!ππ
When we told him we were Americans, he replied, ‘Oh, je sais!’ ( I KNOW!) πAll in all, an amazing and memorable day! Made especially wonderful by Jacques Francais!
