While I’m not too keen on my French history other than the French Revolution and the liberation of France after World War II, it is easy to see that the French folks take their monarchy seriously. Much like England, the opulence and splendor is evident everywhere! My mind confuses the Louis’s, the George’s and the Henry’s, but not the Napoleon. For me, there is only one Napoleon. All are memorialized in the palace of Versailles!

The outer courts were every bit as beautiful as the inner courts. A slight drizzle much of the day made it all the more mesmerizing.

And the bedchambers of the King and Queen…

The gold room is designated as the queen’s, but both are equally beautiful.
The painters of the thousands of murals and paintings on the walls captures such emotion. Even in the expressions in the faces of the horses!

We were all overwhelmed with not knowing where to look and fear of missing out on something spectacular. After a time, we just simply stopped taking pictures, because we knew there was no way to capture the essence of what we were seeing. Just so stunning!

An exhilarating second day in France💕.
