As I was hurrying to keep up with my group (I stop to take a lot of pictures ππ), I was intercepted by a young boy selling some sort of chocolate bars. He didn’t speak English, but still, he was very persistent in Hebrewπ. I pulled out a dollar and gave it to him, and then held up my phone to ask for a picture. He moved close next to me and I leaned in and snapped a photo of the two of us.

After I showed it to him, and we smiled once more, I waved and started to walk away. He followed me, three chocolate bars in his hand and reaching to put them in mine. I kept telling him no, to sell them to someone else, but he wouldn’t take that as an option. After he had followed me for about a block, I finally took one and smiled and thanked him. He was happy with that, and with a wave we went our separate ways. But the interlude made me smile all day π.
