Wow! This was a section of the readings in my Charles Stanley devotional this morning! The verse says, ‘What is the high place of Judah? Is it not Jerusalem?’ And I’m RIGHT HERE! In Jerusalem, in the territory of Judah. And yes, Jerusalem sits high on a hill! It’s so cool reading this right now! And I know my pictures won’t do it justice, but the Hebrew Museum has a small scale model of Jerusalem built, depicting how it looked in Jesus’ time. I wish you could have seen it in person💕.
The large courtyard in front are the temple courts, with the temple in the center. And below were artifacts in the museum that we saw making our way to ’Jerusalem’ 😊.
Today we’ll have one last meal (breakfast) with the few remaining group members. Then Dean and I will walk to ‘Damascus Gate’ in Old City to wander a bit before heading 1.5 miles to our other hotel. That will allow us to spend the afternoon in the lovely (and huge) market in Jerusalem. We’ll head to the airport tomorrow around 11 for our flight to Paris 🤗. It is good to be heading home 💕.
