A long, lovely, exhausting day! It was our one, scheduled Viator day tour in Amsterdam, and it did not disappoint! I think we must’ve visited five different little villages within an hour and a half’s drive from the outskirts of Amsterdam. One was a little seaport village where we enjoyed ’kibbling’ (the local favorite, which consisted of deep fried white fish) and herring (raw but salt preserved) for lunch; Edam, famous for Gouda and Edam cheese; and the others, each with stories of their own, but way too much information in a such short period for my mind to contain! And too little time this morning to delve deeper. We have an 8:00 pick up scheduled to drop off at Amsterdam Central train station for our journey in to Ghent. We will hop off in Antwerp to spend a couple of hours because it’s along the way. And the train station has luggage lockers.😃👏👏 I will try to post again on the train🤗💕🤗.

At lunch we sat with a couple on our tour. They were from Australia 🇦🇺, and so lovely! They were on a two week hiatus from two, different river boat cruises, and absolutely loved them! 💕
And our bus driver on the right. 😊 A talented driver who kept us safe! Nils, of Norway, was remembered fondly as we compared the two 💕.
