My daughter, the one who shares my birth month, reminds me that I have been away on my birthday for the past three years. I don’t intentionally plan it that way, but October is perhaps my favorite month of the entire year! The weather is cooling, the colors are turning, and the tourists are fewer in number because children are back in school. But still, I feel a tad bit guilty because she has noticed the trend!π

But she knows I love her, and she understands her momma’s need to fly away. A lot. π
When I return from a long trip and hear an airplane passing overhead, I think to myself… ‘I am glad I am not on that plane.’ But after a couple of months have passed, and random airplanes fly overhead, I can’t help, but think… ‘I should be on that plane.’π

I had put a post on Instagram after leaving California which read… ‘Delta is my love language!’ πππ And as I woke this morning, the morning of my 63rd year, I offered up thanks to the Lord for seeing me through the past 62 years…in good heath, of sound mind, and with a steadfast heart. I truly recognize the tremendous blessing in that π₯Ή. I am beyond grateful for the places I’ve been able to visit, the people I’ve been blessed to interact with, and the amazing things I’ve been able to experience. In the end, it’s the people that have marked the memories on my heartπ.

Just. So. Grateful! Here’s to the next year. In the book of Job there is a verse that reads, ‘Life is swifter than a weasel’s shuffle.’ How true that is! I pray I never waste a single moment of the time I have left. π Serving, loving, giving, engaging ππ€.
