Plus One

So you know whom it is I speak of…Plus One! aka Dean 😄

The FDI team often asked me…doesn’t your husband ever travel with you? I just laugh. YES, on VERY select trips. I walk. A lot. And at a pace that actually gets me where I need to be well before I need to be there. For those who’ve traveled by train, tram, bus, or underground, you’ll know schedules are timely and most wait for none. Unless you’re in Italy. Which we are not😂😂. So, when I am with ‘plus one’, I have to make concessions. Today we meandered (painfully) half a block to the train station.

‘Let’s get coffee first,’ plus one suggested. Seeing an outside seating coffee shop only, I suggested we go into the train station. Plus one thought I was manipulating the situation in trying to get him into the train station faster. So, we chose the outside coffee shop.

For those who may not have ventured across the pond, train stations are virtual cities in themselves. Coffee, food, fine dining, even more fine shopping…you name it, and it’ll be in a train station in Europe! So we missed out at the risk of my appearing manipulative, but plus one took advantage of it AFTER the day’s adventure!
