Back to Grand Junction

Or ‘Junction’ as the Western Slopers call it ๐Ÿค“. I decided a road trip s in order, so I figured I’d pair it with a WAG day for Jax, and a scheduled service for the Passport. My alert light for maintenance came on when I was in Darby, Montana, headed to CO. Poor timing! Dean reassured me that it was just a routine maintenance alert. But now I can no longer turn off the warning and it bugs me to see it…almost like I’m a BAD MOM๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. So here I am. But my consolation…it’s GRAND JUNCTION๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘!

I see they, much like Montrose, enjoy their quirky, randomly placed statues. But they are fun to see. Most I can’t stop to photograph because they are downtown on street corners. I snapped this at an especially long light๐Ÿ˜‚. And it’s all you’re going to get ๐Ÿ˜‚. I was only downtown to get a set of drumsticks, as I’ve been helping out with a local church in Montrose. I showed up last week to practice with them, and was mortified to find they didn’t have drumsticks. So I used the ends of a pair of brushes ๐Ÿ˜‚.

I realized on the way over that the next time I came to ‘Junction’, it’d be to turn in my equipment at the main office, and then begin the trek home. That was a shock to realize. In a good way. I am ready to be home again. It will be a bittersweet last few weeks with my amazing coworkers, as well as my precious patients. ๐Ÿ’•

Some random photos of a neat antique store I perused after my hasty departure from Telluride two weeks past…

It’s just been one, grand adventure here, and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. It’s nice to gain confidence in what I am doing, as I want to finish strong. I am HopeWest’s first experience with a travel nurse, and they are my first experience as a traveler. A win-win for us both, I hope. ๐Ÿค—
