I was aware of Dean up and making a LOT of noise this morning. When I heard the electric tea kettle boiling, I figured I’d better do a time check…2:57 AM. I went out and said, rather roughly, “Do you realize it’s 2:57 in the morning?” To which he replied, “Oh. My phone didn’t reset to this time zone.” I promptly turned around and returned to bed, and after 30-40 minutes, fell back to sleep. But there was a lot of grumbling in between. Especially after hearing his podcast loud and clear just three minutes in. . A trip back to the kitchen with a, “Can you use those ear buds,” wondering why he wasn’t doing so in the first place. I felt like this…π€¬, while I vowed No. More. Overseas. With. Me.

The perpetrator.
After sleeping a while, I noticed bright sunlight pouring into the bedroom. The shatter proof shade was being raised, by the perpetrator no less. Glancing once again at the clock, I saw it was 7:55. Bingo! Time to get up. Redemption came in his first comment upon seeing my now well rested face re- appear…’Want to hear what I’ve planned for us today?’ π

’Yes!’ I said, now looking like this…π
”A walk along the beach promenade to Historic Jaffa, a bite to eat, and then we can make our way back.”
It was a beautiful morning! Some photos along the way…

Tel Aviv sun loungers. π No possibility of THESE being moved!

One of those universal signs, although I noticed English at the bottom Surprisingly few signs have any translation, but we are not in a heavily touristed area just now.

Historic Jaffa down in the distance.

Me, in a more affable frame of mindπππ.

Jaffa, as we got closer. On the beautiful beach promenade π

The boulders that line the ocean coast are embedded with sea shellsπ±! I tried to pry one loose but it held fast.

A photo of Jaffa in its day π€π. So beautiful. When I booked us a stay in Tel Aviv, it was specifically to see historic Jaffa, and we did.ππ Than you re-instated travel mate! ππ
