Warsaw at Night

I must have said it a million times…’I can’t wait to see this in the daylight!’ Because it’s THAT stunning 😱.  Due to Poland’s early winter setting sun, at 4:00 pm no less, it was already dark by the time our train pulled into town. But we arrived at the new ‘hometel’, got mostly unpacked and headed out to explore the ‘hood. The main square (Old Town) is about 0.6 miles, or 9 minutes on foot, so quite a bit closer than in Krakow. There is a quite lot of history here in Warsaw, and I am looking forward to visiting some of the museums around town. There is also a ‘Hop On Hop Off’ bus, which travels to all of the prominent places…an inexpensive way to do a city tour, while being allowed to get on and/or off at various stops along the way. I think our feet need a break, so that may be on the schedule for tomorrow😂😂. Plus One has been keeping up amazingly well, and for that I am grateful! He also has an uncanny sense of direction, for which I am MORE grateful! But here.  Some Warsaw pretty☺️.

Dean picked this place. I gave it a gazillion stars!

Croquettes. One cheese, two meat, and one mushroom and potato.

Bratwurst and fried cabbage, with Warsaw rye. Poland is all about their rye bread. 😊

I glanced down this dark alleyway and spotted a potential WOW…then I passed another and VOILLA! There it was!

It seems around every corner is another beautiful something or other.💕 Where Kraków’s main square is one, large open area, Warsaw’s is a labyrinth of square, alley, and then more square. It’s HUGE! And…I can’t wait to see it in the daylight!

The ice rink ☺️

And I forgot to add some scenic shots from the journey between Krakow and Warsaw 🤗.

And so it is getting close to my bed time. Enjoy the photos, and I’ll be ready to go again come the morrow 🤗🤗🤗.

PS…they don’t have Christmas music in Poland, so all we are hearing are our old (Bing Crosby era) Christmas songs everywhere😂!  It’s kind of sweet, yet funny at the same time 😂🤗💕.
