…or Poland rather, shop where the locals shop!😆😂 I was adamant to find the ‘large man on a horse’ statue, as I so lovingly call it, and so in our aimless wandering , we stumbled upon a local market! Flea market, produce, wine and cheese and everything in between😊. It was easy to spot the best places to shop due to the lengthy ques!
And OH! The fresh produce, cheeses, meats and pastries 😱!
And yes, I found the man on the horse!😂😂😂👏👏👏
Seeing as how we were on our way to Old Town, we didn’t buy anything, but the hope is to be able to find the market a second time. Instead, today was the ‘Walkative’ WWII tour, and it did not disappoint! Interesting to hear the perspective from the Polish side. I truly wish I had paid more attention in my world history classes back in high school. So many things I would like to have a better knowledge of. Still, it is fun to absorb what is being shared by these tour guides 😊. Our walk to the meeting point for our tour took us along the pretty pathway again, and to the castle.
After a couple of hours of walking the streets before our tour, we thought we should rest our feet before our three hour afternoon walkabout. This was where we chose, and we sat outside so we could watch the activity along the streets. Always entertaining 😂😂😂! The streets are noticeably busier now that we are approaching the weekend! It is like a constant game of dodgeball to stay out of peoples ways.😬 It wasn’t long before we ran into two sweet ladies from our group yesterday on the Jewish Quarter tour, and they said the airport was completely shut down last night due to heavy fog. They are due to fly back to England this afternoon. Hopefully they have made it by now.🙂
