Journey Home

We were quite a ways away from our hometel when the tour ended, so we hopped on a train and rode back to the Glowny Station, where we originally arrived just two nights past. We knew how to navigate our way back to Szlaka Street from there, so we decided to enjoy a miniature version of a Christmas market near the station since we had the time. By now it was starting to get dark, and it was only about 3:40 PM!😱 but it made the Christmas lights shine all the brighter. It has been foggy all day as well, and the fog seemed to grow thicker as evening wore on. It added a surreal ambiance to pretty much everything, and I think Dean was getting tired of me saying…’I just love this fog!’πŸ˜‚

A lovely ice skating rink several were enjoying😊!

And signs we are getting close to home…

We decided to just stop at a local market for a bit of charcuterie inside the comfort of the hometel. It was just perfect. πŸ’•

I found an extra heavy down comforter in the closet, which I will add to the bed tonight. Being outside all day tends to chill me to the bone, and I had a hard time warming up by the time I went to bed last night. NOT conducive to sleep!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚  Tomorrow is another walking tour, this one focused on World War II. It will be another interesting and fascinating time of learning, so I will continue to take pictures to share with youπŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—.

One funny sidenote…halfway through the tour we stopped for a potty break. I was followed down a deep stairwell by an English woman, and she was giggling about the status of the ‘loo we eventually came to. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚  It was unlike any I had seen before, so of course… I snapped a picture for you!πŸ˜‚

And on that note, goodnight πŸ’•πŸ˜ŠπŸ€—.
