That little signal I get when I’ve been using my Google Maps just a bit too much and wearing my phone’s battery down π¬π. I’m feeling like that just now, but unfortunately, I can’t plug into a charger, and it’s simply too late for a cuppa.π But I’ll do my best to share some of the fun from today!

I’ve always been fascinated by the doors in Europe! And these do not disappoint. Grandiose, and a solid focal point to all who may be coming for a visit.π One can only hope the inside is as impressive as the outside!
I started the day with a walk through Old Town, looking for a post office. For those of you who get postcards when I am traveling internationally, I don’t think you realize what a labor of love it is.πππ You see, first I have to identify what the post office looks like. And then I have to identify what the dropbox looks like. Today, when I went into the post office, which I found quite by chance, I was told to take a number because people no longer get mail delivery at their homes, but have to pick things up at the post office (believe it or not, government corruptionπ). I think I waited about 50 minutes, but I enjoyed watching the people there, and visiting with one very kind woman who explained to me that I needed a number, and how to get a number.π Before she left, she pulled up a photo of a dropbox so I knew where to put the postcards after I had written on them.π
The streets of Prague are quiet in the mornings, so I headed back to ‘The Square’, in the hopes of going into ‘The Church’...(CATHEDRAL)!

Remember this one from yesterday? Equally beautiful insideπ±!

And on the outside…

It was after spending some time in the beautiful cathedral that I decided to venture to the outskirts of Prague, so I walked to the closest tram station and hopped on a bus. (That is precisely how I came across the post office!) But the scenes from the bus were plentiful on the way to the ’posta’.π€

When I first saw the graffiti on the panel in the bus, way at the back, I wondered how somebody could’ve done such an extensive job of it without getting caught, but then I realized the driver was about four lengths (bus cars) ahead of me! Still, I was kind of taken by the graffiti, and I almost wondered if it was art (intentionally done) for some reason. If only because of the calming color scheme.ππ
And then I came across the Sign along the walk to the castle later in the afternoon…

…and I was so impressed because there was not a speck of graffiti anywhere on the entire building! But there WAS a wee bit on the sign. π

And then this little gem, to remind folks to clean up after Fidoπ€£ππ!
It was a full, enjoyable and enchanting day. But I just think I will do better at this with my cuppa (‘power juice’) in the morning ☕️. But a few pictures just to tide you over til thenπ€ππ€.

Scene through an arrow opening in the wall of the castle π. This one…

The flowers are blooming, and these tiny daisy-looking ones smelled tantalizing! Second ONLY to my favorites…

LILACSπ€£π€£π€π€π€π€π€!

More to come in the morningπ€π.
