I feel as if I’ve lived a lifetime in the past three days. All of the experiences were so wonderfully mesmerizing and unique, and it truly seems as if Taai and Richard and I have been friends for years. I am in my room at the CCC Hotel now, and only three of the group have arrived. One is trying to fly in from South Africa, and he is having trouble getting permission to travel through Thailand. Vietnam is devastated after a recent typhoon and its aftermath just now. The others are on the flight from Seoul to Phnom Penh as I blog. We expect them to arrive around midnight. I know once tomorrow comes, my time will be much more limited. But for now, I am in a cool room, alone, and enjoying the quiet. It allows me to reflect on the wonderful memories of the past couple of days. I’ll post a few more photos for you to enjoy.
The Memorial at the Genocide Museum which houses the bones of the victims unearthed from the killing fields.
A touching tribute. 😔
The long good-bye. After a fun morning at the market, the guys brought me back to my hotel. We enjoyed a fruit smoothie on the lanai near the pool for a couple of hours and continued to visit. Finally, the time had come to go our separate ways. I truly hope our paths cross again one day!
